Tri Delta Alumnae Chapter
Clearwater, FL

Philanthropy

At local, national and international levels, Tri Delta provides financial contributions and volunteer man-hours to benefit the research and treatment of children with cancer. In November 1999, Tri Delta expanded its philanthropic focus by forming a partnership with St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. In 2002 Tri Delta agreed to a 4-year $1 million dollar commitment to fund the Patient Teen Room.  In May 2005 Tri Delta fulfilled the million dollar endowment for the Patient Teen Room!

The Clearwater Alumnae Chapter of Delta Delta Delta is committed to raising funds for worthy causes. Our chosen lead philanthropy is All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Our chapter joins together to offer financial and volunteer contributions to the research and treatment of children with cancer. For many years, we have participated in the annual ACH telethon. We have also made stuffed animals for the patients.

In February 2009, our members toured the Religious Community Services Food Bank and made both monetary and food donations. We also give an annual collegiate chapter gift to a local Florida college or university.

Tri Delta members have now agreed to a 5-7 year commitment of $7.5 million for the Patient Care Floor in the new Children's Care Center at St. Jude's.
